Expressing Reasons with “Warum?” and “weil”

Hello class! Today, we learn to express reasons in German. We use Warum? for "Why?", and weil for "because".

The main rule for weil is that the verb always goes to the end of the sentence. For instance, to answer Warum bist du müde? (Why are you tired?), you'd say: Ich bin müde, weil ich viel gearbeitet habe. The verb habe is placed at the end.

Remember this verb-final rule with weil. Practice makes perfect!
