How to Combine Adjectives and Nouns in German

Hello everyone! Today we'll learn how to correctly combine adjectives and nouns in German. Unlike English, German adjectives change their endings when placed before nouns. This is known as adjective declension (Adjektivdeklination).

This change depends on the noun's gender (like der, die, das), case (nominative, accusative, etc.), and number. In the simplest form, when an adjective comes with an article, it often takes an "e" ending. For instance: der gute Mann (the good man), die schöne Frau (the beautiful woman), das kleine Kind (the small child).

You can see the "e" ending in each example. Don't worry, practice will make these rules much easier to remember!
