Simple Imperative: “Komm!”, “Geh!”

Today, we learn the simple imperative in German, used for direct commands or requests to one person (the "du" form). It's very easy! You form it by taking the verb stem and usually dropping the "-en" or "-n" ending. For example, "Kommen" (to come) becomes "Komm!" (Come!), and "Gehen" (to go) becomes "Geh!" (Go!). You'll also see "Machen" (to do) as "Mach!" (Do!), and "Lesen" (to read) as "Lies!" (Read!). This form is for individual commands. Practice it!
