Hello everyone! Today we'll learn the most important sentence structure in German: Subject + Verb + Object. This sequence is the absolute foundation for building sentences.
In this structure, the Subject (the person or thing performing the action) always comes first. Then, in the second position, you'll find the Verb (the action itself). Finally, the Object (what the action is done to) concludes the sentence.
For instance: Ich esse einen Apfel. (I eat an apple.) Here, Ich is the Subject, esse is the Verb, and einen Apfel is the Object. Similarly, in Der Mann liest ein Buch. (The man reads a book.), Der Mann is the Subject, liest is the Verb, and ein Buch is the Object. Mastering this simple pattern will help you construct German sentences confidently. Keep practicing!
