Hello everyone! Today, we'll explore how German personal pronouns change based on their role in a sentence – known as 'case'. We have three main cases: Nominative (the subject, 'who?'), Accusative (the direct object, 'whom?'), and Dative (the indirect object, 'to whom?').
Consider ich (I):
Nominative: ich – Ich lerne Deutsch. (I learn German.)
Accusative: mich – Er liebt mich. (He loves me.)
Dative: mir – Er gibt mir einen Stift. (He gives me a pen.)
These show ich, mich, mir are different forms of 'I'. You'll master them with practice!
